the last time i gave mobile firefox a chance was when i had a pixel 6a, and it was slow as shit even on that (with its 6GB of RAM + reasonably powered Tensor G1). the phone i have now is some $150 motorola with only 4GB RAM and a CPU that's not even half as fast

really? i use a regular pixel 6 and it works fine. i also have more than 100 tabs on it

it was either slow or it guzzled battery compared to chromium, probably a mixture of those things. the G1 was pretty horrible at power efficiency though (being Samsung 5nm) so it might've just been all in my head.

i might reconsider firefox actually, do you use the "vanilla" version or some fork? because the only one i know of is Fennec, and i think the IceCat port died a while back. but i have dementia

i use ironfox, it is a fork of mull (another firefox fork that died), and is more hardened than fennec.
